Look at all of the recent shootings this week alone: a teenage boy knocks on the wrong door, a woman turns her car around in the wrong driveway, too many mass shootings to list.
Better background checks and longer waiting periods, enforced gun safety classes with updates required, like driving tests for people over a certain age, NO assault private ownership of assault style weapons. They aren’t needed to shoot deer. If you arm a teacher in a classroom, they can’t draw it faster than someone armed with an assault style weapon.
If you live in a state where there ARE strict gun laws like NJ, your illegal guns and assault style weapons are from other states where gun laws are insignificant or almost non existent.
NO ONE is trying to prevent you from owning a gun or driving a car. Pass the tests and the timeframes, or get a medical clearance if necessary and buy your gun.
It’s the gun lobby donation millions to lawmakers, riling up fear and aggression in gun owners, and then arming them! Prevent the gun manufacturers from selling military style arms to private citizens just so they can make more money.
